User Features:

• With Universal Search, users can quickly search the entire database, including e-mails, notes and associated documents. (Not in Trial Version)
• With preview windows (preview panes) gets the user to quickly understand the contents of activities, e-mails, data and documents linked from a relationship without opening them.
• The interfaces of the Opportunities and Project Manager are redesigned for better usability and easier access to the data.In line with the other layout of Gold Mine.
• The same applies to the Service Manager. Also this is dramatically changed.

Management features:

• GoldMine administrators, those 8.5 'unattended' install without user intervention. GoldMine Premium Edition 8.5 is automatically upgraded to the newest version when it is released, so there is no additional work on the workstation.
• In the Details tab there are extra configurable fields available (12 instead of 8).
• Another great long-awaited new feature is that the so-called e Lookup (predefined values in fields you can depend on each other). This means for example that a specific field shows different lookups with record of type A then a record with type B.
• New rights and safety system functions provide the ability to access data in the detail of each individual user to configure, so you could set the notes only certain users to be mutated.

There is a setup wizard which hold the 2 installations of SQL Server and GoldMine. Microsoft SQL Server is required for GoldMine and is automatically installed with the wizard and then GoldMine is being automatically being connected the the installed SQL Server.
